I'm an apprentice trained mechanical engineer with passion for designing, making, repairing and innovating, utilising skills learnt over many years, whilst also learning new ones along the way.

These include milling, turning, grinding, fabrication, welding, CNC programming, Powdercoating, Plating, Anodising, woodworking, cue making, and 3D Printing and Scanning.

Over the years I've made many projects for myself and others. Some based on a need to solve a problem or meet a requirement, but others just because I fancied a challenge.

When working on projects I look at what's available in the market place before deciding if to make rather than buy. Some of the decisions come down to how I percieve what's available and if they're over priced, poor value, poorly designed and made, or lacking features I want, or just more than I can aford. It's not always about cost, in some cases what I make costs more than buying it. But, when making it yourself you hopefully end up with exactly what you want.

Some projects are developed over a long period of time after some planning and sourcing of parts and materials, which helps spread the cost out, then others are made on the fly from whatever I find in the workshop or scrap bin.

I've added some of my projects on this site but apologies it they aren't fully detailed. I tend to forget to log and photo every stage as I get immersed in the making process.

My other interests are Classic Mini, Pool, Bar Billiards and Archery which have influenced many of my project and reviews.

Hopefully something on my site is of interest and gives you help or inspiration, and if you have any question feel free to drop me a message.
