Bar Billiard Table Old C Poundsbery Refurbishment (February 2023)

I was contacted by a local Snooker Club who refered a customer to me for a table repair.

This is a very old table with a timer which took the old six pence peices.

To say this table was in a bad way would be an understatement.

There wasn't a single pocket left intact as they were all phenolic which had crumbled and cracked. It was a job to get one out in as good a condition as possible so I could make a mould to cast new ones.

The pockets in this table are quick drop ribbed rings which are no longer available so my only option was to make a new set. No small task.

The rest of the table was solid but in need of a new cloth, cushions, some replacement numbers and a new head board.

I removed the best pocket ring from the 9 to make a pattern for moulding new rings. To see the ring moulding project follow the link.
Note the ribs inside the rings which makes the ball drop quicker (quick drop pockets)

Most of the rings had crumbled and broken with age.

A new D freshly laser cut and a newly cast pocket ring fitted.

The finished table ready to go back to the customer
